The event gave media a firsthand look at age-based accounts, parental controls, creator tools, and the growing Filipino creator community on Roblox.
Roblox showcased the many ways people use its platform to play, create, learn, connect, and experience immersive entertainment content at the Unbox Roblox event in Manila.
The familiarization session gave members of the media an opportunity to explore the platform from the perspectives of a player, parent, creator, and partner. Through guided demonstrations, platform exploration, and conversations with the Roblox team, the event offered a broader view of how people engage with and build on Roblox.
Exploring Roblox as a player
The player experience showcased the range of immersive experiences available on Roblox, spanning gaming, music, learning, and entertainment.
A key focus was the platform’s age-based accounts, Roblox Kids and Roblox Select, which were launched earlier this year for users under 9 and under 15, respectively. The accounts are intended to provide experiences designed around different age groups on the platform.
Giving parents more visibility
The parent perspective introduced tools and resources designed to help families navigate their children’s digital experiences.
Family Zone, launched in July 2026, offers parents and children an interactive way to explore Roblox together. The platform also provides parental controls and educational resources intended to give families greater visibility and guidance over how children use Roblox.
Making creation more accessible
The creator portion of the session highlighted Roblox Studio, which allows users to build and publish their own experiences.
Roblox also introduced Build, a new mobile-first creation tool within the Roblox app. Build lets users turn text prompts into a starting game that they can continue to develop, playtest, and publish without leaving the app.
The event also highlighted the Filipino creator community, including Theo (@sausagerate) and Clark (@clarck2317). According to Roblox, these creators have reached global audiences and demonstrate how Filipino developers are using Roblox Studio to turn ideas into experiences played by users around the world.
Extending Roblox beyond games
The partner perspective showed how brands, artists, and other organizations can use Roblox to create immersive experiences and engage communities.
Programs on The Block on Roblox demonstrated how the platform can extend into entertainment, music, and other forms of interactive engagement, giving partners another way to connect with audiences inside Roblox.
“The best way to understand Roblox is to experience it,” said Papri Dev, head of APAC communications at Roblox. “By exploring the platform from different perspectives, we hope to showcase how innovative Roblox is, demonstrate safety by design, and highlight the vibrant community that makes it what it is.”
More information about the platform is available through the Roblox corporate website.
